A Portrait of Daddy

Lately Cole's favorite past time is drawing, mostly people but he does the occasional monster and always provides a funny explanation of what he works on for me. Last week at preschool his teacher told me that he sat at a table and drew pictures of his daddy for about 20 minutes. He was so proud of it when I picked him up and so we mailed the original to Brett :) Part of me wanted to cry a little when I saw it and his teacher explained that Cole told her that his daddy left and that he has to live in Texas- then explained that Texas is very far way and that only planes can go there. When his teacher tried to reassure him that he's coming back Cole said-"oh, he just has to stay there for a super long time, like 45 hours"
We're getting very excited to go and visit Daddy though- only 11 days to go!!!!!!

I love my little man, he is such a strong person and has handled everything with such maturity-I am so so proud of him!
