The kids were Incredibly cute this Halloween!!!
Carlyn as Baby Incredible

Cole and Brady as Mr. Incredible
(they had to be the same thing this year since they are just a bit competitive with each other and the thought of one of them being stronger, bigger, faster, etc. than the other is too much to bare these days)
Before we bought these costumes Cole said that there was only one Mr. Incredible (talking about himself) and then proceeded to tell Brady that he could go as "the mom" (meaning elasta-girl) this obviously didn't fly with Brady and he came to me crying.... poor kid! So this was when I explained to them that they can both be the same thing, it's been smiles ever since :)
a little trick-or-treating with Mushu the dragon (Hayden, their cousin)

After we did a few houses around Grammie's neighborhood the Incredibles and I headed over to a Halloween carnival to play with friends
Jena with twiners Aubrey and Addy
Brady got over it quickly because he is resilient and nothing seems to get in his way, and he wanted to stay...so we rode a pony, ate nachos and tried to enjoy the rest of Halloween together- holding hands and not letting each other out of site :)

But I do not love the super slide......of course there has to be drama on a night like this! Well I have been a mom now for almost 5 years and have never ever even come close to losing track of one of my children. Unfortunately I can't claim that anymore because I lost Brady. After lots of playing and games the boys wanted to come back to the super slide to get a few more runs in. It was dark and I watched the both climb up the slide but never saw Brady come down. So I assumed that he was still at the top of the slide when in reality he'd come down and I just missed it. After a minute I realized he wasn't there and started looking and calling for him in the crowd of people- no sign of my little muscle man anywhere. So then I start asking (very loudly) "has anyone seen a little boy dressed as Mr. Incredible- he is 3 years old and I cannot find him" being that this carnival was at a church and they did have security numbers for the kids to match the person that brought them I didn't immediately freak out.
Then after another minute I FREAKED OUT, the total panic of "where is my baby" kicked in and I think people could tell that it was serious because an entourage of moms and dads began looking for Brady. I walked into the adjacent building full of kids and people and seriously yelled at the top of my lungs "I am missing my son, he is wearing a red Incredibles costume, he is 3 years old and blonde, has anyone seen him?" At this point I am crying and shaking pretty bad. A lady wearing a name tag and ear piece walked up to me and asked if I am missing a boy.....oh my gosh was I glad to see her! I found my sweet boy in the church office with a nice lady who was doing her best to keep him calm. I saw him, grabbed him, then he and I cried together and hugged :(
Apparently when Brady got off the slide he was backing up calling for me and a parent noticed he wasn't finding me so she brought him inside the church where the nice ladies took him in.
Yeah, I can't believe that happened to me. And you hear all the time how "it only takes a second" I now know how much truth is in that phrase
