the past few days have been spent primarily at home since lately it seems like whenever we leave the house one, two or all three kids are less than helpful! Carlyn has become soo vocal about her "needs" ie: screeching at the top of her lungs when she's done with her car seat, arching her back as I try and strap her into the stroller/shopping cart. Accompanied by Cole's notorious complaints ie: explaining to me how boring the grocery store is or how his legs are tired of walking! Brady has actually been the most fun to have around while doing all the things I have to get done, this is quite a change since Brady is normally my kid who gives me the most interesting behavior ;)
while "stuck" at home I have found that I am officially cleaning my kitchen 5 times per day...which is a bit of a jump from the 1-2 times per day that was happening prior to Carlyn crawling EVERYWHERE! The vacuum comes on 2 times per day now in the living room...I have NO idea how my kids manage to make such messes but they are experts at being little tornadoes these days!
I have however began to get a lot more crafty than I ever have before this week! Normally I buy or make things from a kit for B-Day Parties and occasions like that. But this time around I am trying to make as much as I can myself, one because it's fun to do for a girly party and two because it is cheaper this way! I even followed a how-to tutorial from the Martha Stewart website this afternoon-yes, this is HUGE for me!!! I also made the b-day girl a ton of new bows and flowers for her hair..without Amber having to hold my hand and instruct me the whole time ;)
The boys and I have watched a few movies lately too...our fav was tonight's pic by Brady: Tangled! Maximus the horse in this movie might be the funniest animal ever created for a Disney movie!
When you're a mom sometimes its the little things like it is this week: The boys have not been fighting as much, have played with their toys more, and are working on a ton of art! Carlyn is feeling better and has been so happy just crawling about the house and helping her big brothers play. Staying at home can be way more fun than going out and doing things.... at least for a few days!
