this week in the Peterson household

well this week started out pretty good, then my precious little one got very sick way too quick! We found ourselves in Downtown Sac. on Thursday afternoon with a wheezy baby with a 104 degree fever. So her awesome doc. had us do two bronchiodilator treatments and some steroids in order to get her pulse-to-oxygen levels at a level where we could take her home instead of heading in the hospital for the night.

this was one of the moments when I am forever grateful to have family close by. Grammie took the boys to the pumpkin patch so I didn't have them at the doc., those of us with more than one child can really appreciate the difference only toting the sick child makes. Thanks Terri, I love you sooo much! The next day my mom came over so I could shower, then brought us In-N-Out on Saturday night, again there are no words......I love you mom!

Long story short, it's now Monday night and we have some success!! We have a "cocktail" of meds for our little muffin that seem to be working and no more fever, finally!! We go back on Friday for more info on her treatment plan.

welcome back to cold and flu season people.

while we have been stuck at home (Carlyn is treated every 4 hours around the clock so we have only gone out of the house in short spurts) Sweet girl is in LOVE with Brown Bear, Brown Bear. She says "BrownBear" now and carries it to me or whoever is closest so they can read it to her. Even Cole and Brady have it memorized and they read it to her all the time, pretty sweet!

I wanted to show just how "well loved" this book actually is, she would sleep with it if I let her

here is our happy little camper getting some of her inhaled meds
not a kid's idea of fun
as you can imagine I am pretty tired, I feel like we have a newborn again with waking up every 4 hours.  Momma was about to hug the UPS guy who brought me this box on Friday afternoon!!  Thank you Carly for my bridesmaid gift (wine of the month!) it could not have come on a better day!
