Our Family's Reunion!!!!!

Thursday Morning bright and early waiting for Daddy and the other "air force guys" to run by...
I was overwhelmed by the number of people who shared the same excitement and emotions about seeing their loved ones for the first time just like us! There were hundreds of people lining this street.
Brett is the far one in the back row in front of the yellow poster

The Coin Ceremony, where trainee's officially become Airmen. Brett was front and center for most of this ceremony

Brett with his commander
Because he was the dorm chief, Brett was responsible for basically every action of 54 guys for the duration of the past 8 1/2 weeks. One of the neat parts of having this duty was being able to present his flight with their coins.

Once the ceremony was concluded the family's were released out to greet their airmen for the first time. It was surreal to actually see/touch/talk to the most important guy in our lives! I am so very proud of Brett's accomplishments and cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for him to be away from his boys and me for that long.

Brady was so excited! The kids thought Brett's hat was funny though- they made fun of it all day!

Brady also spent the next few hours poking Brett's face- I think he was checking to make sure it was really him and not the computer screen version of his dad he's become so used to seeing

After we went to lunch and visited a bunch Brett showed us the parade grounds where there was a bunch of retired planes. The boys were thrilled and I was in heaven just watching my favorite people in the world walk around together and laugh

My very favorite picture

Saying goodbye for the day was a little traumatic for the kids-I had to reassure them a million times that we were picking up daddy in the morning again.
I will never forget how special this day was for two little boys who got their wish and played all day with their hero!!
