Despite my very best efforts to replace the thumb with the pacifier, Carlyn won the battle! Both boys were pacifier babies so it was pretty easy to just throw them out when they got too big.... yup not this time, wish me luck for her toddler years and trying to break this habit.
I have to admit its A-Dorable right now, I love how she knows exactly how to get her left thumb into her mouth :) And my decision to stop fighting it happened last night when she slept uninterrupted for 9 1/2 hours!!! Yeah, I think her self soothing with her thumb is okay if mom and dad get solid sleep.
No, I don't make her sleep all night under her play mat. She got tired of playing yesterday afternoon so she just put herself down for a little nap :)

I HATE that Addie's a thumb sucker, but it was the same thing with the sleep that I finally gave up trying with the binky. I never understood when people said their kids wouldn't take a binky until I had Addie...SOO not looking forward to the braces :)
