On June 17th (Father's Day 2012) we said goodbye to our home as we knew it in CA. With our one car (my SUV), our Hound Dog (Ruger), Our Three Kids, and a Trailer.... Brett and I began the BIG drive!
Day One was a breeze. We only did two hours to Reno- we wanted an opportunity to say goodbye to the other grandparents (Brett's dad and step-mom) Plus it was fathers day so we visited with them, Ryan & Hayden, Tony & Stef and of course the dogs.
Day Two: From Reno to Evanston Wyoming
all was good until....we blew a tire on the trailer. Oh crap is right!! Good thing Brett is strangely handy, somehow he knows how to fix everything at all times! We had a spare and fixed the problem that caused the blow out on the trailer.
Getting into Utah the pic below is the Great Salt Lake
Brady being sooo good!!
Fast forward a little....we stayed in a horrible hotel in Evanston-but lets face it... this is Wyoming and we were out of there at 2am to start the drive so we let it go.
We made a stop at Cabelas (I guess this store is the biggest??) It was nice to run around and the boys loved the animals in the store.
I love the pictures we got of our Ruger Dog, so full of life and so happy!
excited to be at our hotel in Nebraska!
Carlyn ate so much at dinner...she was starving and very tired but it all came back out at 2am while loading her into the car to leave...so our departure was less than ideal :(
From Nebraska we were on our way to Chicago!!!! Our friends Adam (Brett's good friend from high school, he was in the wedding) and his wife Mary Catherine (who I love) and their new baby girl Hayden!!!
