Moving Into the new house

House pictures are still underway...

We are renting a three level town home in a very nice suburb.  As you can imagine, trying to find/secure a home from 3000 miles away can be very tough esp. when you have a massive dog....let me rephrase.....it was a huge, crappy, ugly pain in my neck for weeks and weeks!!!

So we used my sweet Aunt who lives here and has for a long time to scope out a few properties.  The "one" we picked was in the best HOA with the kids pool just across the street and the best school.  The catch...there is not a fenced yard, only three bedrooms, and it is def. not brand new.

Although the neighborhood makes up for it, we were beyond grossed-out upon move in.  Brett spent his last week off of work helping me clean this place from floor to ceiling-not exaggerating this place was purely unlivable!  EEEWWW!  So we decided to rise above, clean it for our family to live in for a year, and to not lift a single finger when we move out- this home looks a zillion times better now that we added our touch.

I guess we just didn't realize that a home that has been used as a rental for so long would be so torn up.  Oh, well!  We are used to it now and like I said the area is super nice!

We all love living so close to Washington DC!!!  What an amazing place to get to visit anytime we want!!  Fairfax and Loudoun counties in Northern Virginia...Breathtaking, Gorgeous, Friendly, Great Shopping, Green, Full of Deer, Lots of Money here-so the homes reflect this beauty as well.  I feel lucky to have this experience!!
